Karen Spruill, our President-Elect of the North Carolina Society of Accountants, has over two decades of experience in the accounting profession. Her extensive background includes stints as a legal assistant, accounts payable specialist, and district manager of a major tax preparation franchise. Karen has achieved the IRS's Enrolled Agent status and has maintained it since 2013. She is an active member of the National Association of Tax Professionals and has participated in various leadership roles within the Eastern Chapter of the North Carolina Society of Accountants.
Deborah Davis, on the other hand, took a unique path to her current position. After retiring from a successful teaching career, Deborah pursued an associate degree in accounting at the local community college. She then joined a major tax franchise as a tax preparer and eventually became office manager of one of the local stores. Deborah is also a notary and participates in the IRS's voluntary Annual Filing Season Program. She is a member of the Eastern Chapter of the North Carolina Society of Accountants as well as the National Association of Tax Professionals.
