The Barson Group is an experienced accounting firm based in Somerville, New Jersey. We specialize in litigation support services, financial investigations, and business valuations. Our team of experts has extensive experience in handling various types of financial litigation, including divorce proceedings, shareholder suits, partnership dissolutions, fraud and embezzlement matters, and insurance claims.

Our services include traditional accounting and tax services, such as tax planning and return preparation, financial planning, and general business services. However, our primary focus is on providing expert support in financial investigations and business valuations for litigation purposes. We also offer assistance with funds flow tracing and determining income.

Our founder, Kal Barson, has over 30 years of experience in forensic accounting and business valuation. He has been involved in and responsible for over 1,000 financial litigation matters and has testified numerous times in court and depositions. Kal is widely recognized for his expertise and has been accepted as a financial expert in most counties in New Jersey, as well as in New York and Pennsylvania.

Experience of Our Firm

The Barson Group was founded in January 2002 by Kal and Janet Barson. Prior to starting the firm, Kal was a partner at another local accounting firm, where he played a significant role in its growth from 10 to over 55 personnel. During his tenure, Kal developed a nationally recognized expertise in investigative accounting and business valuation. Janet was an administrative assistant at the same firm.
