Our History

With roots dating back to 1986, Southwest Accounting, Inc. has a rich history of providing exceptional service to individuals and businesses in Lancaster, Wisconsin. Tom Gildersleeve founded the company and began working for the law firm of Kinney, Urban, Schrader, Bromley & Kussmaul. In 1987, Tom purchased the tax practice and formed Southwest Accounting, Inc. Over the years, the company has grown and evolved, with Steve Schneider joining the team in 1993 and becoming a partner in 1997. In 2004, Tom and Steve purchased the office building on Madison Street, and the company has been located there ever since.
